Put it on, give it a minute, feel the vocoder blow your mind. Easily the most unusual track that Justin Martin has unleashed yet. Reminds me heaps of Dam Funk, which is possibly why i love this track so much. It has that real tongue-in-cheek quirkiness that makes every artist on Dirtybird the best. Yet this is the least minimal track released on a Dirtybird release in aaaaaaaaaages. Who would’ve thought Justin Martin would make something so fucking funky with some of the best hyphy-tinged vocals I’ve heard in ages.

Tommie Sunshine is a dj first and a producer second, which is quite uncommon these days. He doesn’t take his production so seriously, which means he covers all genres and makes the most fun remixes in the world. It feels like he created the edit below for all the disc jockeys out there who like playing afro-tech but can’t keep the ladies on the d-floor. Hey, that’s me! Thank you Tommie Sunshine for saving my d-floors from the possible sausage fest!

This is the perfect way to cap off the weekend that was Future Music Festival. Which, was hands down the best weekend of my life.. Far to many things happened to elaborate on in this small write up, most illegal, or frowned upon. But never the less we will get around to a recap of the day soon.

Future Music Festival ‘10 has come and gone; leaving many of us satisfied, a large population of us disappointed and everybody..wet.
I for one enjoyed every minute of FMF ‘10. Embracing the rain and the fact that Future doesn’t actually control the weather (weird, right?) enabled me to enjoy every twist and turn the day threw at me. Expect a full write-up in the coming days.
