The Man

by jake
yuksek

After jaw dropping us all with previous release ‘Extraball’, Yuksek is back on the scene with two brand new banging remixes. With trademark flashy breakdowns, spiralling electro effects and chopping white noise he transforms the “the most remixed single of the year” ‘Heavy Cross’ into nothing less than amazing.

Moby’s own label Little Idiot Records will release Moby’s new single ‘Mistake’ on September 7th. “For me ‘Mistake’ is the most personal song on the album. It’s definitely the product of spending my adolescence listening to Joy Division and Echo and the Bunnymen.” ‘Mistake’ is the third track to be taken from Moby’s recent self-released album Wait For Me.

Hot Latin Shit

Well thankgod for this. I was starting to worry after hearing Nadastrom’s latest remix of Laidback Luke & Diplo’s ‘Hey’. I’m not sure whether they just released that so this one would sound better, or they actually thought a ‘Hot Latin Dub’ edition would sound good? In any case.. the break at 3:30 and then the drop at 4:18 gets me bouncing in my computer seat and that’s all I ask in a track. I’m a simple man.

Romborama

Romborama

Just a couple of blokes playing some fucking footy.

I’ve never really been a fan of The Bloody Beetroots as you might have guessed from previous posts. But they’ve clearly targeted me as there preferred audience and thrown on a track that i’d like. The title is pretty ambiguous and I don’t really understand the meaning behind it (or any on the album to be honest) but i’m sure it holds great significance in there heads.

I’ve lessened the quality because I don’t wanna get this blog pipped (like my last one) but I urge you to scroll down, look onto your right and click on one of the many sites that will provide this album in full quality (Due to be released 25th August). I’m sure there will be another track on there kids will be ranting on about and setting it as there facebook status’ (1,2 Warp Warp)

Go Frag Yourself

It’s around about that time of the month. The time where I slowly motion into my minimal stage. I’ve just come out of, what I like to call.. the ‘Alex Metric’ stage of my muscycle. I’m hooked on french based producer Noob at the moment. I first acquired the taste of Noob when he remixed Tiga’s legendary ‘Shoes’ and ever since then, i’ve been tracking down everything his ever laid is dirty french hands on. Here he is in collaboration with D.I.M.

D.I.M. – Lyposuct (Noob Remix)

His recently teamed up with Brodinski to create a masterpiece titled ‘Peanuts Club’ you can check it out here. Will be released on Turbo.

… He Said, She Said

by Sweetlove

My music tastes have done a huge 180 the last couple of days. Not only have I been listening to a shit heap of Bowie/Ziggy Stardust, but I’ve also been getting my hands on alot of techy and proggy stuff.

The simplicity and general flow is a nice change from the headbanging, roller coaster-esque breakdowns and drops of the bangers I generally favour.

I’m currently procrastinating, blogging instead of cleaning up the shit-pile that is my house after this weekend, so I’m just gonna post a few tracks I’ve been swivelling my chair to over the past couple of days. Enjoy.

PPS: Is anyone else excited about the new Alice In Wonderland movie? Tim Burton [heart].

We Are Golden

by jake

Calvin Harris + Mika = A perfect combination of anthemic vocal chants, tractor driven bass and floor sweeping electro wobbly bits. This is the direction Harris needs to maintain. ‘I’m Not Alone’ was something different – yes. But it was baaaad.

Mika – We Are Golden (Calvin Harris Vocal Mix)

Due to be released early September. I’ll be keeping you posted. I urge you to support these artists and buy their tracks from Beatport, Juno, DJDownload etc.

I WIN?

by Barron

The much hyped Riton & Primary 1’s Dub of Who’s There? has finally arrived in the hands of us aiders. Almost the same as the original although they have added vocals and another hook. I cannot decide which one is zee best, its becoming a question for the ages, I think I like the vocals but not the extra hookageeee. Either way its in the top three songs on anyone’s iTunes playlist.

i’m a poorly structured human being..

by jake

I like to think of myself as a morally conscious blogger. So i’ll be posting a large quantity of my music lower quality than usual. There isn’t much difference in sound – unless of coarse you intend on playing it out.. in that case. Suck it up jerk.

Cassius – Youth Trouble Speed Cigarettes

I used to be all over Foamo. I remember when he first appeared on the scene.. A 16 year old producer from the United Kingdom. I can’t say i’m much of a fan of his latest work though – his collaboration with Lee Mortimer on ‘It’s Going Down’. It’s way too Jack Beats for my liking.
