This song is more for your softer side of musical taste. It makes you want to dance around the room like no one is watching with the blinds closed and the lights dimmed down. The kills are are a british alternative rock band with the latest album Midnight Boom. If you don’t like my first post, then be prepared for the mafia on your door, you don’t know who i am! guess who?

As soon as I heard this song, it took me back to a simpler time. A time when the WOW rooftop was up and jiving and Alt boys and Indie Dogs where right in there element, rolling cigarettes, doing all types of substance, and dancing till the police and management would kick everyone out.
Infact the death of WOW has not really hit me till now.. sitting here on a Saturday night not wanting to go out anywhere else but the old home-ground. I mean were else could you meet a guy who had Nintendo tattoo across his knuckles? a women with one half of her head shaved? people being kicked out for taking off there pants on the dancefloor? or the utter acceptance of anything goes in the clothes department? But what disturbs me the most is that my brother never got his WOW cherry popped and he will never be able too.
A dear friend on mine went to the new venue where the follow up to WOW will be held, and said that it got a gold star sticker. But in the state he was in, a cardboard box with a strobe light flashing would’ve seemed like the dopest thing ever. Will it match up to the reputation of the long pasted WOW? only time will tell. but one thing will remain. we love you WOW rooftop! and the memories spent there will never be forgotten.
ps. does anyone know that kid that always use smoke choof in there? every fucking time I went he was!

Without a doubt, Fake Blood’s “I Think I Like It” is one of my favourite tracks of the year. The beauty of it is, it samples Arabesques‘ “In The Heat Of A Disco Night”. Arabesque was created as an all-girl trio at the height of the disco era in 1977 in Frankfurt, Germany and although Fake Blood only samples very little of the original, he does just enough to gain maximum disco vibe.

As i’m sure you’re aware already most of the partyaiders are heading up to invade Queensland tomorrow. If you just so happen to be in the area.. make sure you get down to Elsewhere (Lvl 1, 23 Cavil Avenue, Surfers Paradise) where you’ll experience the musical stylings of Ajax, Ando, Rob Pix, James Waters (HYYYEPPP), Fava and J Heasy to name a few.

Last weekend was one of the biggest, peaking on Friday Night/Saturday morning @ Chinese Whispers and beyond.
Although I’m sure this upcoming week will top it.
Tonight Christian Luke Does the Burbs @ Mynt and Rob Pix turns 45, then I go into hibernation until Monday morning when the crew and myself jetset to the Gold Coast for the Unlucky Schoolies Tour, then onto Byron Bay to play and party some more! Back to Mynt for the usual weekly fun and then Stereosonic!!
A detailed written and photo filled blog post on return.
wow.
First heard this in The Crookers Melbourne Stereosonic set last year. Was kind of a scary and shocking moment.
Dub-step? WTF?

I dont mean to be posting alot of “Non-club friendly” chewns lately, but there really hasn’t been that many tracks that have made me want to boogie when played at a considerable volume. Oh where was I…? ahh yess this isn’t the first time ive posted on Amy Meredith, and it might not be the last with there album set to drop early next year. They are definitely one of my favorite bands and continue to produce some fucking catchy ch00ns, I feel they are going for a more commercial approach with this song. lets all just hope there not being played on Nova in a months time…

Ahhhfine! it has occurred to me that most of you do not follow the musical scene as intently as the Party Aids crew. So in all honesty we really do forget, and assume that you have all the good tracks we see released…. In conclusion here are a few you should add to your collection and play loudly at the house party you throw while your folks are away (even if they may be a tad old)

I ran this song by my Indie/Nu-wave music professional to get her opinion and it left the same stunned look on her face as it previously did on mine. This song (though it takes a few listens) grows on you faster than a foot infection that you caught in Bali because you forgot to vaccinate… see those poster on the doctors wall are true! Have you had your Hep-B shot this summer?

I should be getting ready for work but… I just fell in love! No not with some Partyaids groupie. But this fucking track, which has somehow pulled off a feel good wobble combination that you will be shaking your ass to for weeks. Please note this song should not be played at high frequencies near fragile objects, as vibrations/loose dancing may cause objects to break as i have just found out. Farewell giant globe that sat on my desk

When Dada Life offers advice it’s rude not to embrace it. My only concern with Phatzoo’s take is.. a lack of cowbell.

The vocals in this track always get me, and I have wasted countless downloads on downloading every remix of it I could find. This Edit by Mixhell is my new pre-going out/feel good anthem of the year, and I should’ve posted it a long time ago! Just really haven’t had the time between going out… and having a Schmark with the Partyaids crew at the highway spot.
