Just got a couple of tunes that I just couldn’t wait until the new year to smack you in the face with. These tracks don’t need me to amp them up with a big speech; just download them and see for yourself.
Rockets – The Kid With The Fancy Skateboard
Hot City – No More <– (Highly Recommended)

Xmas is over now, our bellies are stuffed and that creepy uncle has managed to embarrass himself once again by cracking onto that strangely attractive cousin of yours and somehow managed to lick her toes in the spa. Now it seems that the only thing anyone can talk about is the much over-hyped New Years. Entry gets jacked up and extra $15, drink prices are through the roof and it somehow seems no one has ever had a good new years eve ever! – Well we have the solution for you:
Step 1: Gather your best group of mates: The last thing you want on new years is to be spending it with that one person in your group that no one actually likes, but everyone is too nice to tell him to fuck off.
Step 2: Secure yourself a decent location: A free house is always ideal, but you can always settle for a friends house that has cool parents, a strip of sand on the beach, a park or even one of the side streets off of King Street.
Step 3: Get yourself some party supplies: Whether it be a good 4L goon sack or a bottle of cough medicine, a good new years is always spent with an altered state of consciousness.
Step 4: Get yourself some good tunes: This is where we come in. Here is a little present from us to aid you in making the best of your new years eve; the latest mix done by none other than Rob Pix. An excellent hour-long mix-tape with all the good kind of stuff that you love to hear and when put on repeat, will keep you rocking into the new year! You can catch Rob and his crazy live show antics and the following locations:
1st Jan – Summadayze
1st Jan – Grum @ Miss Libertine
7th Jan – Mynt Thursday Returns
14th Jan – Mynt Thursday
16th Jan – LTM & Code Red @ Motel
21st Jan – Chardy DTB @ Mynt Thursday
23rd Jan – Baroq House
28th Jan – Mynt Thursday
30th Jan – Yellow @ Neverland
Rob Pix – January 2010 Mixup

Although our 1 year anniversary was on the 22nd I kinda consider Christmas as being the birthdate of partyaids. Which is why we’re really celebrating, giving gifts, consuming large amounts of food.. not because of Jesus.. But because of partyaids. Jesus actually wanted a guest slot on the blog but I had to shoot the man down, reminded me to much of Aoki to be honest.
I’m going to make this much easier for the both of us. I’m going to stop typing, you’re going to stop reading, scroll down and see the abundance of links and go and download them. Merry Christmas.
Malente & Jay Robinson – Dwarfs
Uffie – MC’s Can Kiss
Louis La Roche – Malfunction
Mowgli – Paris To London
Fatboy Slim – Praise You (Riva Starr Remix)
The Bloody Beetroots – Talkin’ In My Sleep (The Bloody Beetroots Remix)

Trolley Antics
As your friendly neighborhood shopping trolley, not only do I provide the safe storage and transportation of groceries and young children.. but I can also see into the future.
I see one Grant Smillie playing ridiculously loud music to a ridiculously large crowd with the help of our ridiculously good looking local djs on a day which is usually celebrated through slow dance and the giving of gifts.
I see Jesus and his 12 apostles sitting around a table, breaking bread, drinking wine celebrating his 21st birthday by listening to Rob Pix’s latest mix installment. (Will update with link very shortly)

And finally, I see Miss Libertines gearing up for a New Years Day Extravaganza featuring international man of mystery GRUM (UK). You can guarantee entry by buying your tickets here.
Your friendly neighborhood trolley, Antics.
Love, Peace, Boobies.

I was pretty certain when the remixes for Classixx’s ‘I’ll Get You’ were released none of them would outvibe the original. I was spot on with that assumption although the Gigamesh remix is something special in it’s own right. It perplexes me as to how DiscoTech produce such terrible remixes but Gigamesh (one half of DiscoTech) can create something so spectacular.
Classixx – I’ll Get You (Gigamesh Remix)
I wasn’t overly impressed with Treasure Fingers edition, however his breakdown is pretty fucking awesome. Nothing will ever make me smile as much as the original can. If you’re ever having a shitty day. Just listen.

This song is nothing like the Miike Snow you thought you knew. Slam together a pinch of Bob Marley, a bunch of trumpet samples, random animal noises and a little ping pong effect. You’ve then got yourself a closer representation of this awesome remix. Could this be the stoner anthem of a new generation? Party Aids will have to investigate..

Just when you thought Fall Out Boy had ruined music with their ridiculous song titles…
Dananananaykroyd.
Yes that is their name.
Yes its fucking stupid.
Luckily for them, their music isn’t as bad as their name.
Dananananaykroyd – Black Wax
And this song just makes me happy.

Been following Yeasayer since I heard ‘Ambling Alp‘ a month or so ago. This is the type of track you would hear on the beach.. whilst playing soccer with your comrades, celebrating the surrender of the Japanese. It’s got a juicy fat bassline and a beautiful hook that’ll have the blood rushing to your pelvus.
Yeasayer – One
Late Of The Pier have released ‘Blueberry’ on Erol Alkan’s prestigious label Phantasy. Not only has he released it but the man has also produced it. The single is titled ‘Blueberry’ and it is already out. Next year it will be out on 12″ vinyl and will have for the b-side a track titled ‘Best In the Class’.
Late Of The Pier – Blueberry
If you’re accustom to Mr. Ozio’s ‘Flat Beat’ then you should thoroughly enjoy this. It’s Bart B More’s new track Lay Around. I can see Flat Eric raving away to this in his office.

So here I am, forced to stay home. While $10 Sangria jugs are be consumed at a verocious pace by the rest of the Party Aids team, because somehow I am sickkk for the first time in a good 2 years.
