I feel almost obligated to post the new Cut Copy tune.. as a valueless, moral(less?) blogger it’s my duty to vibe this new release because it’s their first in awhile and they’re still considered pretty hip. Reminds me a lot of the Beatles which undoubtedly works in their favor.
Cut Copy – Where I’m Going
I’m not going to lie to you in saying the ‘Gonzales – I Am Europe‘ clip is abundantly awesome. It was actually a dream of mine to be a rockstar chess player. Enjoy this interpretation by ‘the brain’.

Ed Banger records’ Squarepusher has just released their EP titled Shoeblader One. It has one track; Cryptic Moon and a Mr. Oizo remix. The actual track itself is a funky downtempo synthy groove, but not quite worth posting (IMO).
So here’s the remix instead, it has your typical wacky funky slap bass lines, Oizo style.

I’ve been overly aggressive lately which i’m blaming on the lack of well produced music being released lately. It’s a pretty simple formula don’t you agree? Shit music = no vibe = somebody needs to be inflicted with pain.
Swick sent me this a couple of days ago and I’ve got to admit it’s pretty damn cool. It’s not epic, it won’t send shivers down your spine.. and it won’t send you into a melodic trance. But it will be repeated more than once in your iTunes. Happy birthday swickles.

Many things come to mind when you mention King Kong; firstly would be that big burly ape destroying New York city. Next would be that porno I once found in my dads bedroom (It was actually called King Dong, but you get the idea). One thing you wouldn’t normally think of is some deep tribalish music, namely the new EP from Zombie Disco Squad titled King Kong. Its awesome. Download it.

We’re all missing Summer. Especially with the demise of Melbourne’s weather of late.
These few tunes should jog your memory of a better time, a time where everything seemed so simple. It was just you, your ipod and your longboard.
Half-Handed Clouds – Set Your Beams
Not as reminiscent, but ride these too.

Producing a minimix for Annie Mac is a prestigious honor in it’s own right. Having Mark Ronson put together 5 minutes of music that can potentially enhance your life is something we should not take for granted.
I’m a big Beatles fan.. and the fact that he opens up with ‘Hey Jude’ creates a perfect first impression. It’s a little taste of the past, a little taste of the future.. and a little taste of Chicago.

I thought Top 40 dominance was the only vibe surrounding Yolanda Be Cool and DCUP’s ‘We No Speak Americano’?
I honestly didn’t expect a head rattling, vagina punching, ear crushing remix from High Rankin’ (Meow?) They’ve called it the bait wobble remix. It should be called the ‘freshly aborted’ remix.
p.s why am I still using mediafire?

Toro Y Moi is the stage name used by recording artist Chazwick Bundick. His music has taken on many forms since he began recording, but he is now identified with the chillwave movement of summer 2010.
I really did not picture him as a cool brown guy? (Picture above is him, for those bro’s who are a bit slow) I thought he would be some weedy looking white guy that fits a serial killers description and had to play around with synths in order to mask his unsociable urges.
